Family business hopes for aerospace certification
Investment at family company GW Martin has brought change that will ensure it is fully equipped and prepared to service a number of key market segments in the future. The most significant change will come about towards the end of 2016, when it hopes to achieve the aerospace quality certification AS9100. This will enable the company to target Tier 1 aerospace manufacturers directly and complement its business activities in the defence, automotive and medical sectors.
At Southern Manufacturing 2016 the company demonstrated its complete CNC machining service including design advice and full assembly, for medium to high volume batches of precision components.
