Diverse range covers spectrum of industry
Specialty Fasteners believes that in its 20-year history, it has never had such a diverse range of products on show as it did this year at Southern Manufacturing 2014.
It covered, says the company, the whole spectrum of industry and represented some of the biggest names and innovative products in fastening including Camloc, Huck, Hydraflow and Alcoa.
Two new products on display were from access hardware manufacturers, Accuride. The first was the 5417EC soft-close drawer slide for loads up to 55kg. The side-mounted, full extension drawer slide is designed to slow down the closing action and bring the drawer to a smooth and quiet close. It is particularly suitable for heavier drawer applications in industrial settings.
The second introduction was the DA0115RC, an aluminium track with recirculating ball carriage, for the linear market. It is designed for where precision linear slides may be an over-engineered choice. Aimed at cost-sensitive applications, involving any length of travel and designs where space constraints must be considered, this linear motion slide offers up to 130kg load rating.
