Coilcraft inductors reach for the stars
Commercial and critical-grade magnetics for RF and power applications will be highlighted by Coilcraft at Southern Manufacturing 2020. Products on show will include the 0402DC series ceramic chip inductors which offer the industry’s highest Q factors in an 0402 (1005) size for low loss in high frequency circuits, says Coilcraft. They are available in 112 inductance values ranging from 0.8 to 120nH, including 0.1nH increments from 2.8 to 10nH for precise impedance matching.
The XGL4020 series moulded power inductors (pictured) are claimed to have the industry’s lowest DC losses and extremely low AC losses for a wide range of DC/DC converters. There are 14 inductance values ranging from 0.11 to 8.2µH. The lower DCR and higher Irms also allow it to operate with cooler parameters than other components, adds the company.
There will also be the AExxxRBA family of moulded, space-grade chip inductors from the Critical Products & Services group. Available in standard 0603 and 0805 footprints, they meet NASA low outgassing requirements (ASTM E595) and are resistant to harsh-chemical/ high-PSI washes.
