Are you RED-y for wireless? asks RN Electronics
All wireless electronic devices must comply with the Radio Equipment Directive (RED), before being placed on sale in the EU / UK. RN Electronics specialises in the testing of such products to ensure they meet the relevant EMC and radio standards. Experienced engineers work with customers to identify and resolve any issues identified by testing.
It provides UKAS-accredited testing to a range of wireless technologies including 2.4GHz band for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and ZigBee, to EU / UK (EN 300 328), US FCC (47 CFR 15.247) and Canada (RSS-247) as well as the 5.0GHz band for Wi-Fi, to EU / UK (EN 301 893), US FCC (47 CFR 15E) and Canada (RSS-247).
The company is an FCC Conformity Assessment Body for the USA, is listed by ISED for Canada and accredited for testing for Australia and New Zealand. Its FCC and ISED certification service can support the worldwide approval of electronic devices.
The EMC and radio test laboratory tests electronic products for a number of industries including multimedia, medical, laboratory, defence (DEF STAN 59-411 and MIL STD-461) and automotive (UN-ECE Regulation 10).
