Adaptable nylon pillars resist shock

Round, hexagonal and micro specifications which make up the standard range of pillars and spacers from G&B Projects can be seen at Southern Manufacturing & Electronics 2014. The robust and adaptable nylon pillars can be supplied in practically any body length, says the company, and supplied with metric thread sizes from M2.5 to M12. Imperial and US versions are also available.

G&B Preview edit_tmb For specific requirements, the company can manufacture custom sizes and specifications on request with fast turnaround, in many cases, at no extra cost.

The pillars use an insert design and locating process. The solid body style is claimed to provide strength and resilience, which coupled with the brass insert design, allow them to be inherently resistant to shock which can cause inferior products to fail. The company offers increased strength over wholly plastic parts and electrical insulation properties that are not attainable with wholly metal parts.

Visitors can also see the company’s nylon and brass spacers (clearance and threaded), snap-in nylon pillars and spacers, brass and steel pillars, headed insulating bushes, metric screws, nuts and washers, screwlock assemblies and earthing bars.

Almost every component can be custom-made to non-standard specifications. The company can engineer machined components from customers’ own drawings. All work is monitored under BS EN ISO 9001:2008. All products are RoHS-compliant.
