Delivered as a kit or full-assembled ready to install, the drylin delta robot is the latest addition to the igus automation offering. To be showcased at Southern Manufacturing 2019, it is a cost-effective alternative to similar robots available on the market, with the typical ROI period for the drylin delta robot estimated at just six months; the industry’s rule-of-thumb target is two years says the company.
Made completely from well-known products from the company, the robot is based on three maintenance-free drylin ZLW toothed belt axes, lubrication-free igubal link rods and matching adapter plates. NEMA stepper motors and encoders ensure fast handling of up to 1.0kg with a precision of ±0.5mm. The complete system has an installation space of up to 420mm in diameter and can carry up to 5.0kg at lower speeds. The pick rate is at least 60 per minute, however this can be much greater, depending on setup.
Members of the igus team will be available to answer any questions on this and all the other low-cost automation systems on display.
