Established in 1973 and headquartered in Scarborough, Southern Manufacturing exhibitor Unison serves customers in aerospace, automotive, marine, oil and gas, energy and custom products.

In the early 1990s, it developed the first all-electric machines for tube bending and in 2014 developed a servomotor-powered machine architecture that can bend thick-walled piping with diameters of 225mm and more.

To be highlighted at the show, the EB1000 is a CNC-controlled, manually operated, three-axis CNC precision bending machine. It is suitable for producing high-precision tubular parts in a low-volume production environment and is popular in the aerospace and motor-sport sectors for small-batch production and prototyping, as well as for repair or reverse-engineering applications.

The ease of use is a particular feature, says the company – there is no complex user interface to learn, and operators can typically learn how the machine works within minutes.
