New TalliScan handsets showcased at Southern

TalliScan Stock Management_tmb TalliScan brings new handsets to Southern Manufacturing 2016. Supporting built-in laser barcode scanner capable of reading both 1D and 2D codes and a 5-inch screen the TalliScan system is faster and easier to use than ever, says the firm.

The TalliScan system is designed to assist in physical stock management tasks. The company says that customers have recognised that data errors introduced into MRP systems, that use a traditional process-driven model for stock handling, ripple through to leave uncertainty surrounding stock levels. TalliScan’s new solution approaches stock handling from a physical perspective and their proven rapid perpetual inventory tool quickly corrects handling anomalies and omissions.

From booking stock into stores, kitting for production build or dispatch, to bin-filling for Kanban, TalliScan’s instant counting efficiently records the physical transactions. TalliScan’s new approach is mobile and wirelessly connected; always on hand to record the transactions as they happen and effectively plug the holes in MRP records.

TalliScan operates as a standalone tool, or via cloud services, and can be incorporated into existing systems through its API.
