Southern Manufacturing 2014 will be starting on a high for exhibitor DVR Ltd. The firm announced yesterday that it has purchased two MYDATA new-generation MY200DX-14 pick-and-place machines, which will operate in combination as a synergy line – the first of its type in the world to be sold by MYDATA.
The two brand new, high-tech machines will be located at DVR’s site in Essex, and marks a notable milestone in the company’s development. Investment in the two new MYDATA MY200-series machines has been significant and is anticipated to deliver dramatic benefits for its customers.
The two new machines are designed to make both the Surface Mount Placement process faster and more accurate. This, together with a Selective Soldering Machine will double SMT manufacturing capacity to a maximum throughput of 80,000 components per hour, says the company.
DVR MD, David Hellings, said “We have invested over £500,000 in order to purchase the two MYDATA MY200-series machines, but feel that it is an important step in order to remain at the forefront of our industry and stay competitive in the changing global marketplace. It is so exciting to be the first company in the world to make this leap and we are hoping to win significant volume-driven business from it.”
“For our customers it will mean we can pass on cost savings generated through faster product production, higher volumes and reduced overheads. Lead times for finished products will also be shorter.
“The machines will also enable us to produce products that are of a higher quality, since they allow for much greater accuracy and flexibility.”
DVR will be exhibiting on Stand E78 at the Southern Manufacturing show in Farnborough from 12-13 February. Visitors are invited to find out more about this major development and the unique resource the company now possesses. For more information about DVR’s services visit www.dvr-ltd.co.uk
