MecWash will showcase its popular Duo 400 aqueous cleaning machine on stand T60 at Southern Manufacturing 2013.
Developed in 2009, the Duo 400 is now one of MecWash’s best selling aqueous cleaning machines and has been installed in manufacturing facilities across the globe. The Duo is a highly versatile cleaning system, suitable for both large components and dense baskets of small parts. It delivers final wash quality with costs more often associated with an intermediate wash. The Duo also offers additional benefits including flood / immersion washing providing higher standards of cleaning by full solution contact with all component surfaces, and a re-circulating heated spray rinse, which delivers superior surface finish by removing detergent residues left by the wash solution.
The rinse stage can also be used to apply a longer term corrosion inhibitor for ferrous components and all wash cycles are finished off with a hot air dry. Weighing in at 1500 kilos, the Duo offers a generous wash chamber (w:400 x h:450 x l:650mm), but its footprint is small enough to comfortably fit in a cell.
A Duo was recently installed at Cambridge based tool engineer, C4 Carbides to remove oil and dirt from the cutting edge of tools prior to adhering carbide and painting.
C4 Carbides Project Engineer, Simon Peckham says, “We are really pleased with the results we’ve seen since installing the MecWash system. Before the Duo arrived we used solvents to clean the cutting tools, but this could be a messy, smelly and time consuming process. The MecWash system addresses all of these issues and we’re now experiencing excellent cleaning results from the machine which is really easy to maintain.”
Having previously exhibited at Southern Manufacturing, MecWash is looking forward to returning to Farnborough to meet customers old and new. MecWash Managing Director, John Pattison, says, “The Farnborough show is well respected in the manufacturing sector – attendance at recent trade shows in the UK and the US have generated a number of high quality enquiries for MecWash and we’re confident Southern Manufacturing 2013 will be equally worthwhile.”
